Put the quark or yogurt in a bowl. Fill two thirds of the empty packet with water and add to the quark. Adjust the amount of water as required to achieve the desired consistency – depending on your preference, the dish can be slightly thicker or thinner. Salt the mixture generously and mix thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.
Finely chop the herbs, such as dill, chives, and mint. Fresh herbs give the Ab-Dough-Khiar a particularly intense aroma and should be used in preference.
